Mayor Widmer called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.

SPECIAL MEETING (Item 1)
1. ANNUAL CITY COUNCIL TEAM-BUILDING AND GOALS MEETING
City Manager Rodericks introduced the topic and consultant Nancy Hetrick with Baker Tilly who facilitated the workshop.
Council held a conversation related to the annual goals with a theme centered on strengthening teamwork and governance. Council reviewed practices of effective elected officials, heard organizational updates from Rodericks and identified fiscal year 2023-34 Council priorities.
Council discussed each Townwide strategic goal in detail and made some adjustments based on progress. The revised goals are as follows:
• Goal A: Maintain Fiscal Responsibility
• Goal B: Preserve Small Town Character and Quality of Life • Goal C: Manage Circulation and Improve Safety through Investments in Infrastructure. • Goal D: Strengthen Community Engagement and Transparency. • Goal E: Be a Forward-Thinking, Well-Managed, Well-Planned City • Goal F: Emergency Preparedness
Consultant Hetrick summarized key takeaways and noted Rodericks would work to incorporate updates to priorities as discussed.
