City Manager,
Town of Atherton
Dear Mr Rodericks:
I am hereby seeking the approval by the Council of Atherton to amend the terms of the contract that ties Mademoiselle Colette to the Town of Atherton.
I would first like to state that, as the CEO of Mademoiselle Colette, I am thrilled to have been selected as the company that can deliver on premise premium Food for the employees and visitors of the Town facilities.
While we are off to a slow start, we have been hit by a number of operational issues which have prevented our little business from opening on time. While I could get into the details of why this happened, let me just share with you that the costs involved in the construction have shot up 100% above budget. In addition, while the feedback we have received from customers has been so far very good, the ramp has been slower than expected (probably due to the time it takes for people to realize we are open now but also due the seasonality as well). Last, with the winter coming, and given the fact that we have no place where people can sit inside, we believe that our sales will be severely impacted.
For all these reasons, I would very much appreciate if you and the Council could consider the following three requests:
- An extension of the free rent until the end of March 2024. - Some more Press within the Town of Atherton residents. - Ensure that we have a physical address (people can't find us on GoogleMaps) These would go a long way to keep our business floating. As you hopefully can attest, we have invested a lot in this place, mostly because we wanted to deliver a "special" experience. I have personally spent countless hours and feel very proud of the result. I can tell you that your constituents that have experienced our Pastry/Bakery have been raving about it and are quite happy. I believe we are creating something special here.
I hope you can revert back to me with some positive news on my requests, Sincerely yours,
Debora
