SPECIAL MEETING – STUDY SESSION
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hawkins-Manuelian called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m.

STUDY SESSION
1. RECIEVE A SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDED TEXT CHANGES TO THE ADOPTED 2023-2031 HOUSING ELEMENT.
Town Planning Bendix and Housing Element Project Manager Kohn reviewed a summary of recommended text changes to the adopted 2023-2031 Housing Element. Bendix noted that the changes respond to feedback received from the State and provide greater analysis of housing needs in Atherton, relative to the County and region, and with particular focus on housing needs for special populations.
The Planning Commission and Council held a detailed discussion and reviewed specific text changes and sections within the updated providing recommendations for revisions.
Kohn and Bendix responded to questions related to various data sets contained within the staff report and clarifying the sources.
Chair Lane and Council Member DeGolia complimented the Planning department for the outstanding work presented.
