SPECIAL MEETING – STUDY SESSION
SPECIAL MEETING
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hawkins-Manuelian called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m.
ROLL CALL – Holland, DeGolia, Widmer, Vice Mayor Lewis, Hawkins-Manuelian – Present
PUBLIC COMMENT – NONE
SPECIAL MEETING ITEMS
1. REVIEW THE CITY COUNCIL HANDBOOK; DIRECT ANY CHANGES; AND
CONFIRM COUNCIL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
City Manager Rodericks presented the report and recommended that the City Council review and discuss the highlighted changes in the City Council Handbook.
Council discussed small changes that included word choice and adding detail, revisions to appointing the Mayor and Vice Mayor, assignment to outside committees, agencies and organizations, Council reports, and rules related to membership on Town committees.
City Manager Rodericks proposed revisions that led to Council discussions.
Council agreed to provide updates and share information related to their assigned Town Committees and outside committee appointments through the City Manager.
City Attorney Ebrahimi provided clarification related to ex-parte disclosures.
Council provided direction to staff for updates to the governing resolution for Town Committees.
