SPECIAL MEETING
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hawkins-Manuelian called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m.
ROLL CALL – Holland, DeGolia, Widmer, Vice Mayor Lewis, Hawkins-Manuelian – Present
PUBLIC COMMENT – NONE
STUDY SESSION
1. RECEIVE AN UPDATE AND PROVIDE FEEDBACK ON THE ALAMEDA DE LAS
PULGAS / ATHERTON AVENUE ROUNDABOUT ANALYSIS
Public Works Director Ovadia presented to the Council with support from Interwest Consultants regarding the Alameda De las Pulgas (ALDLP) corridor and the study conducted evaluating the feasibility of a traffic circle, roundabout or mini-roundabout at Alameda de las Pulgas / Atherton Avenue intersection.

Council deliberated on the options presented by staff including round-a-bout a traffic signal and safety needs at ALDLP and Atherton Avenue. Council held a detailed discussing that included a review of costs, traffic mitigation, and noise concerns.
Staff provided an overview of traffic related matters at the intersection and showcased a digital mock-up for Council review.
Council directed staff to move forward with the roundabout with an effort to minimize impacts to utilities in the area.
