Subject: 2024 Officer Inspections
Audit Purpose: The purpose of this audit/inventory is to account for all department issued equipment and repair, replace, or issue missing equipment.
Audit Scope: This audit is specifically intended for all Atherton Police Department sworn personnel (including reserve officers).
Audit Methodology: The audit process shall be reviewing completed officer inspection checklist forms. All sworn personnel were requested to complete the form. Officer Rivera was unable to complete his form due to being on leave. I reviewed all completed forms for any equipment issues.
Audit Results: The following items were identified as needing to be replaced/issued:
• Sgt Fong - Ballistic vest is expiring.
• Sgt Magami - Gas card is expired.
• Detective Dutta - Missing Chevy key fob and AR mag.
• Officer Tam - Missing a metal name plate.
• Officer Yamsuan - Needs flex cuffs and cutters.
• Officer Shum - Needs flex cuffs, cutters and rain gear. • Officer Mijangos - Needs flex cuffs and cutters.
• Majority of the department's gas mask filters are expiring this year.
Audit Action Items: I recommend the following:
• Sgt Fong order a new ballistic vest. Completed.
• Send email regarding Sgt Magami's gas card. Completed. • Send email to Detective Dutta to request a key fob and rifle magazine.

• Issue flex cuffs and cutters to Officers Yamsuan, Shum and Mijangos.
