RESOLUTION NO. 25-xx
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
ATHERTON APPROVING YEAR END BUDGET CLEANUP AMENDMENT
FOR FY 2024/25

WHEREAS, the City Council supports the proposed amendment of the Year End Budget Cleanup; and
WHEREAS, to account for increase in Finance department expenses, a $26,075 corresponding adjustment in expenditures is necessary to meet department level budget expense; and
WHEREAS, to account for an increase in County Measure A Fund expense, a $16,642 corresponding adjustment is necessary to meet the yearly department level budget expenditures for government dues audit expense; and
WHEREAS, to account for increase in Gas Tax Fund expense, a $7,139 corresponding adjustment is necessary to increase the yearly department level budget expenditures for government dues expenses; and
WHEREAS, to account for the increase in County Measure W expense, a $2,035 corresponding adjustment is necessary to increase the yearly department level budget expenditures for government dues; and
WHEREAS, to account for the allocation of an Additional Discretionary Payment (ADP) of $3million in Public Safety Unfunded Actuarial Liability (UAL) General Fund expense adjustment is necessary to increase the yearly department level budget expenditures for pension liability; and
WHEREAS, to account for the transfer out of $800k adjustment from the Employee Benefit Fund to the General Fund to reduce the portion of Public Safety (UAL) expense adjustment is necessary to increase the yearly department level budget expenditures for pension liability; and
WHEREAS, in review of the Year End Budget Cleanup for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, these adjustments are to be made to the Operating Budget as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the Town of Atherton does hereby approve an amendment to the FY 2024-25 Town Budget to enact the changes identified on Exhibit A attached hereto.
