SPECIAL MEETING – STUDY SESSOIN
Town of Atherton City Council Special Meeting – December 3, 2025
Council discussed the possibility of using the new SB 79 rules to redistribute the housing density previously established in the Inclusionary Housing Ordinance, but ultimately decided it wouldn’t have enough impact to be worth pursuing.
Council directed staff to develop a draft ordinance to formally adopt the SB 79 standards into the Atherton Municipal Code.
This item is a receive and file only and requires no further action by the Council.
3. SPEED HUMP SURVEY RESULTS AND RECOMMENDATION
Public Works Director Ovadia presented an overview of the results of the Speed Hump Survey, showing how residents feel about the current temporary speed humps placed around Atherton.
Council stressed the need to ensure that installed permanent speed humps should be gentler than the temporary ones, but otherwise accepted the report and recommendation without major alterations.
