RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF ATHERTON
AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO THE DIRECTOR OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR A CERTIFICATE OF CONSENT TO SELF-INSURE WORKERS’ COMPENSATION LIABILITIES
WHEREAS, the Town of Atherton participates via PLAN JPA for Workers’ Compensation; and
WHEREAS, the Workers’ Compensation Program is a self-insured program; and WHEREAS, the Office of Self-Insurance Plans (OSIP) requires a City Council Resolution in support of the Town’s renewal as a Public Agency to receive a Certificate of Consent to SelfInsure; and WHEREAS, an application has been submitted to the Director of Industrial Relations; and WHEREAS, this Resolution is adopted in support of that application.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Atherton is authorized and empowered to make application to the Director of Industrial Relations, State of California, for a Certificate of Consent to Self-Insure workers’ compensation liabilities and representatives of the Town of Atherton are authorized to execute any and all documents required for such application. * * * * * * * * * * * * *
