CALL TO ORDER:
The City Council of the City of Atwater met in Special Session this date at 4:30 PM in the City Council Chambers located at the Atwater Civic Center, 750 Bellevue Road, Atwater, California; Mayor Pro Tern Cale presiding.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Pro Tern Cale.

Notice to the public was read.
No one came forward to speak.
City Council Special Meeting Action Minutes for November 14. 2022 Page 2 CITY CLERK INTERVIEWS:
Interviews for the unscheduled vacancy of the City Clerk for the remaining term of two (2) years ending December 2024.
The City Council interviewed the two qualified candidates.
CITY CLERK NOMINATION(S) AND APPOINTMENT:
That the City Council, by roll call vote, nominate one (1) candidate to appoint to fill the unscheduled vacancy of the City Clerk.
City Attorney Splendorio provided background information on the nomination process.
By consensus the City Council, by roll call vote, nominated one candidate to fill the unscheduled vacancy of the City Clerk.
MOTION: City Council Member Button moved to appoint candidate Kory Billings to City Clerk for the remaining term of two (2) years ending December 2024. The vote was: Ayes: Button, Cale; Noes: Ambriz; Absent: Raymond, Creighton. The motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Pro Tem Cale adjourned the Special Meeting at 4:56 PM.
