1. BLOWER
• Positive displacement rotary blower for oil free atmospheric air• Three-lobed rotors with ground profile, statically and dynamically balanced, made in nodular cast iron CS 400-IS EN 1563
• Casing with integrated LOW PULSE device for damping pressure impuses, reinforced with ribbing to eliminate distortons caused by loads and made in high strength grey cast iron 6250 EN 1561 • Side-covers reinforced with ribbing to resist induced loads from shafts, made in high strength grey cast iron C 250 EN 1561.
• Shafts integrated with rotors made in nodular cast iron 65400-15 EN 1563 or coupled to rotors by means of forced coupling and key, made in steel C40 EN 10083/1 • Cylindrical Roller bearings for a calculated operating life of 100,000 hours at the maximum design speed and pressure conditions
• Maximum periphera’ speed of the lobe head below 40 mIs (131.2 feet per second)• Timing gears with helical toothed wheels and involute profile, hardened and grounded, made in steel • 16 Mn Cr5, coupled to the shafts by means of forced coupling with cone 1 50 and with pressurized oil mounting and demounting
• Two sets of Labyrinth seals on each shaft, without sliding parts and wear free with vent holes to limit the pressure inside the oil sumps
• Oil seal on each shaft, without sliding parts and wear free coupled w:h labyr9tb seal to prevent the leaking of oil vapor into the air chamber of the blower • Oil seal on the drive shaft by means of lip seal rng in high strength rubber (VITON) and hardened and ground shaft protecuon sleeve to ensure extended working life • Lubrication of all bearings (drive side and gear side) and of the timing gears by oil bath with oil• Sp:•ash disks locked onto the drive shaft• Maximum blower speed <7000rpm, this implies low speed, lower friction and high efficiency.• Standard aluminum data name plates
2. BASE FRAME
• Compact base frame supporting both the blower and the electric motor, integrated with patented• Anti-vibration mounts capable of withstanding compression and shear loads with vibration damping level > 80%
• Can be supplied with integrated soundproofed enclosure
3. INLET SILENCER
• Silencer consisting of a section based on the principle of sound wave interference, adjustable according to the rotation speed of the blower, for the reduction of the sound energy emitted in the base frequency of 2 the compressor itself (below 500 Hz), and a second absorption section for the reduction of the sound energy emitted at frequencies above 500 Hz.
• Maximum pressure drop DP = 10 mbar (0.145 psi = 4 inches of water column)
4. INLET FILTER
• Inlet filter integrated in the inlet silencer.• Filter element, located downstream of the sound absorbing material of the inlet silencer, to prevent any contamination of the conveyed air and to protect the compressor. • Patented tunable silencer feature to allow for on-site adjustment by operators.• Efficiency of the filter element 93% for particles >= 10 micron • Inspection hatch for easy reo.acement of the filter element.• Maximum pressure drop with new filter element OP = 5 mbar (0.0725 psi=2 inches of water column)• Maximum pressure drop with clogged filter element DP = 25 mbar (0.362 psi=10 inches of water column)
5. DISCHARGE SILENCER
• Discharge silencer consisting of diffusion and resonance sections providing a wioe reduction range and without sound absorbing material in order to avoid contaminating the plant downstream to thecompressor package. • Silencer integrated with the base frame supporting both the compressor and the electric motor.• Maximum pressure drop 30 mbar (0.435 psi = 12 inches of water coiumn)
6. CHECK VALVE
• Factory installed check valve on the outlet silencer to prevent the reverse rotation of the blower when stopping.
• Rubber (EPDM) coated clapper plate vjith reinforcec central core ir. steel, without articulation hinge and wear and maintenance free.
• High strength rubber for maximum operating temperature T2 = 150’C (302’F)
7. STARTING/SAFETY VALVE (PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE)
• Direct acting spring loaded safety valve fitted on the outlet of the discharge silencer installed upstream of the non-return valve (check valve) in order to limit the differential pressure on the blower. • Valve to feature Metal to metal seat seal surfaces (maintenance free)• Maximum settable pressure 1000 mbar (14.5 psi) • Maximum operating temperature 150 ‘C (302’F)• Weighted PRV is an external optional accessory 3 8. PIPING
• The blower and silencers are directly connected to each other with flanges, without connecting pipes so as to reduce overall dimensions and pressure losses.
• The valves are directly fitted onto the compact base frame which also works as discharge silencer with dedicated brackets, without connection pipes in order to reduce bulk and loss of pressure. • Connection to the system pipes by means of flexible connectors (EPOM) fitted at the outlet nozzle of the discharge silencer to compensate the pipes thermal expansion and to reduce the vibration transmission. • Flexible connector in rubber reinforced with fabric inserts and suitable for operation up to 2 bar and temperatures up to 1SOT (302’F), held in position with pipe clamp straps.
9. V-BELT TRANSMISSION
• V-belts with (V) cross sections
• Service factor >= 1.4 on fitted power• Belt tensioning device based on the motor weight with automatic compensation for the belt stretching and maintenance free.
10. MOTOR
• Asynchronous tnree-ohase electric motor with squirrel cage rotor constructed in compliance with NEMA standards.
• High efficiency motor suitable for operation with 460 V, 200 V 230 V, or 575 V +1- 10% and 60 Hz +1-2% supply. As well as options for 380V-5OHZ & 415V-SDHZ.
• Minimum protection grade IP 54
• Cooling system TEFC casing cooled with external fan on the shaft. • Assembly arrangements IM B 3 or NEMA F3 location (with terminal box at the top). • Insulation class F
• Over-temperature class B• Minimum service factor 1.15 • Drive side bearing to support the radial load induced by the V-belt transmission.• Optional accessories include PTC thermistors and Space heaters, specified at time of order.
11. SOUNDENCLOSURE
• Hood made up of modular self-supporting panels, 1SGA steel, powder-coated.• Optional weather hood shields available. Territory sales managers can discuss specif’c site applications when needed if units are to be installed in extreme conditions. • Seal between panels by means of special rubber joints to ensure airtight closure in order to allow outdoor installation.
• Sound-absorbing material consisting of open cell polyurethane foam thickness 50 mm (2”) with profiled finish, fire resistant according to ISO 3795 (MVSS TN 302) 4 • Perimeter panels supported directly on the ground and detached from the structure of the blower package to eliminate the transmission of vibrations (noise) from the package to the panels. • Hood ventilation with auxiliary electric motor driven fan, ensuring the extraction of hot air from inside the hood independently of the rotation speed of the compressor and even after the compressor stop. o 1 phase 120V 60Hz — all 60Hz package options, Frames 1,2,3,4o 1 phase 230V 50/60 Hz — all 50Hz package options, Frames • Hood air inlet and outlet ducts silenced with a lined single-chamber plenum and lined bends • Access for routine maintenance operations from the front side of the blower package by opening the hood.
• Blower discharge pipe on opposite side to the front of the blower package. Blower packages can be arranged side by side or against a wall, minimum distance required 4 inches to reduce compressor roomarea

With the significant savings proposed and economicalcosts of the units, we would recommend replacement of the existing multistage blowers.
