SUBJECT: CONSIDERATION TO APPROVE CANCELLATION OF THE AUGUST UTILITY
BOARD MEETING
BACKGROUND:
Historically, the Utility Board does not meet in August to allow for scheduled vacations and family time off during summer break for Staff and the Utility Board members. The recommended action will approve the cancellation of the Utility Board Meeting on August 24, 2026.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the Utility Board take the following action:
1) Cancel the Utility Board’s regular meeting on August 24, 2026.
ANALYSIS:
Historically, most August Utility Board meetings were routinely canceled in consideration of scheduled summer time off. Accordingly, Staff recommends that the Utility Board cancel the scheduled Utility Board meeting for August 24. Any urgent items requiring action by the Board will be placed on a regular City Council agenda on August 17.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with the recommended action.
