Update from the Federal Legislative and Funding Advocate Summit Strategies
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Committee discussion and direction.
BACKGROUND:
The City recently contracted for the first time with a lobbyist firm to represent Bakersfield interests with the Federal government. Staff will provide a report on federal legislative advocacy and funding efforts, including the outcomes of a recent legislative advocacy visit in the Capitol.
