Appointments to City Council Committees and other special Committees and Boards by Vice Mayor Kaur
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Council ratify Vice Mayor appointments
BACKGROUND:
Following a Council election, and in accordance with the Charter, Council shall elect one of its members to serve as Vice Mayor. At the December 18, 2024 Council meeting, Councilmember Kaur was elected Vice Mayor.
The Vice Mayor shall make app ointments to all Council committees and other special committees and boards pursuant to Bakersfield Municipal code Section 2.02.020. Accordingly, recommendations for appointments will be made by the Vice Mayor and ratified by majority vote of the Council. The following is a list of the recent active committees of the Council and other eligible Vice Mayor appointments:
