SUBJECT: Amendments to Various Design Consultant Agreements with Provost & Pritchard Engineering Group, Inc. dba Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group.
1. Amendment No. 2 to Agreement No. 2021-132 (Assignment to change business name, address and Federal Tax ID numbers from Ruettgers & Schuler Civil Engineers to Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group) for On-Call Civil Engineering and Surveying Services.
2. Amendment No. 2 to Agreement No. 2023-072 (Assignment to change business name, address and Federal Tax ID numbers from Ruettgers & Schuler Civil Engineers to Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group) for Panama Lane At-Grade Crossing.
3. Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 2023-102 (Assignment to change business name, address and Federal Tax ID numbers from Ruettgers & Schuler Civil Engineers to Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group) for Bakersfield Police Department Property Facility Addition.
4. Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 2024-185 (Assignment to change business name, address and Federal Tax ID numbers from Ruettgers & Schuler Civil Engineers to Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group) for On-Call Civil Engineering and Surveying Services.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the amendments.
BACKGROUND:
Ruettgers & Schuler Civil Engineers “Ruettgers & Schuler” is currently providing civil engineering consulting work for the City of Bakersfield through various Design Consultant Agreements. They are currently providing services for the Panama Lane At -Grade Crossing (2023 -072), Bakersfield Police Department Property Facility Addition (2023-102), On-Call Civil Engineering and Surveying Services (2021- 132) and On -Call Civil Engineering and Surveying Services (2024 -185). The City of Bakersfield received notification from Ruettgers & Schuler that effective December 1, 2024 they would merge with Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group. The City of Bakersfield wishes to continue with the civil engineering consulting services with Ruettgers & Schuler under the new entity of Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Due to the fact, the amended agreement, merely incorporates the company name change, update to addresses and update to the Federal Tax ID number. There are no changes to the compensation, term or scope of work, and therefore no impact to the City General Fund.
