ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT

MEETING DATE: February 26, 2025 AGENDA CATEGORY: Consent - Agreements TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council
FROM: Gregory Pronovost, Technology Services Director
DATE: February 7, 2025
SUBJECT: Agreement with GEOCONVERGENCE, LLC (not to exceed $200,000) for Geographic Information System Services to map city offices and create 3D floorplans for wayfinding, space planning and potentially mobile asset tracking

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of the agreement

BACKGROUND:

In 2024, Technology Services (TS) released a bid request for GIS Services to map city offices and create 3D floorplans for wayfinding, space planning and potentially mobile asset tracking.

GeoConvergence, a company that specializes in implementing, integrating and extending ESRI technology, has been awarded this bid, and Technology Services now wishes to enter into an agreement with them for indoor mapping and data import services. This agreement also includes training TS staff to maintain the data and build on this work, laying the foundation for a more robust asset mapping and management process. This will also kickstart the development of a digital twin for our city. When fully developed, this 3D model can be used for emergency response, public safety simulations, and community and economic development visualization and planning.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funds for this project were budgeted in the TS FY2025 Operating Budget within the Equipment Fund

COUNCIL GOAL:

Innovative and Efficient City Government
