RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of amendment.

BACKGROUND:

Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 3 has two septage receiving stations that receive septage discharged by permitted haulers. Each station is equipped with a rock trap and a septage processing unit, which remove rocks, gravel, rags, and coarse solids from the septage. On September 25, 2024, Amendment No. 2 to Agreement No. 2023 -050 was approved, increasing compensation by $20,000 for additional scope of work.

During construction, a higher -than-expected number of RFI submissions exceeded the available project budget.
