SUBJECT: Agreement with BSK Associates, Inc. (not to exceed $137,936) to provide Laboratory Services for the Water Department - Wastewater Division
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommend approval of agreement.
BACKGROUND:
The Water Department - Wastewater Division is required to collect and analyze samples from Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2, Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 3, the pretreatment program, groundwater monitoring wells, and other compliance monitoring projects. These laboratory resul ts are submitted to federal and state monitoring agencies and must be performed by a certified laboratory to ensure accurate reporting.
On February 4, 2025, City advertised a Request for Qualification s and Proposals (RFQ/P) to provide Laboratory Services for the Wastewater Division. On March 4, 2025, City received one acceptable proposal from BSK Associates, Inc. in the amount of $137, 936.
City staff recommends awarding the agreement to BSK Associates, Inc. based on their proposal being favorable to City. The proposed agreement is for a one-year term, with total compensation not to exceed $137,936.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Sufficient funds are budgeted in the Sewer Enterprise Fund operations budget to fund this agreement, therefore, there is no impact to the City’s General Fund associated with this agreement.
