SUBJECT: Accept bid for the purchase of half-ton extended cab 4X2 pickup trucks.
Accept bid and approve purchase of ten (10) half-ton regular cab 4x2 pickup trucks from Motor City GMC, Bakersfield, CA in the amount of $360,315.45 ($36,031.54 per unit) for Streets Division within the Public Works Department and the Recreation and Parks Department.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommend acceptance of the bid and approval of the purchase
BACKGROUND:
Bids were solicited for ten (10) half -ton regular cab 4x2 pickup trucks for the Streets Division within the Public Works Department and the Recreation and Parks Department. Four bids were received in response to the solicitation.
This purchase will replace ten units, each more than ten years old and past their useful life. The units meet the criteria for replacement as determined by the Fleet Division and will be replaced with newer and more efficient units

FISCAL IMPACT:
Sufficient funds are budgeted in the Equipment Management Fund for this purchase.
