SUBJECT: Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 2024-228 with Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc
(increasing compensation, revised not to exceed $1,283,855) for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping software and online technology resources
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommend approval of this amendment
BACKGROUND:
For over 20 years, the City of Bakersfield has used software from Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) for the development and mapping of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data and maps.
Esri is the industry leader in GIS, and provides robust applications and tools for data analysis, reporting , and visualization for departments and the public at large.
Esri Site Scan for ArcGIS is the end-to-end, cloud-based drone mapping software designed to revolutionize imagery data collection, processing, and analysis. It maintains drone flight history while capturing up-to- date imagery when needed and securely processes imagery in a scalable cloud environment.
On August 28, 2024, the parties entered into Agreement No. 2024-228, not to exceed $1,268,855 for 3 years to renew licensing for GIS software and online resources for mapping and education. We now wish to amend that agreement to increase compensation by $30,000 to purchase a Site Scan subscription for two (2) years remaining on the agreement. This also amends Agreement No. 2024 -228 not to exceed $1,298,855 paid in three (3) annual installments as follows:
• A sum not to exceed $372,785 for the first-year subscription • A sum not to exceed $453,195 for the second-year subscription due July 28, 2025 • A sum not to exceed $472,875 for the third-year subscription due July 28, 2026
