SUBJECT: Adoption of ordinance amending the Municipal Code Section 17.06.020 by changing the official zoning map from C-2 (Regional Commercial Zone) and A (Agriculture Zone) to C-2 (Regional Commercial Zone) on approximately 2.63 acres located at the northwest corner of Taft Highway and Michele Street. The applicant is LAV//Pinnacle Consulting & Engineering representing the Fred Giminiani 2008 Living Trust (GPA/ZC 24-0372) (FR 5/28/25) (Ward 7)
RECOMMENDATION:
City staff recommends adoption of the ordinance.
BACKGROUND:
First reading of the ordinance for No. 24-0372 was given on May 28, 2025. At the same time City Council approved the related General Plan Amendment (GPA) for No. 24-0372.
The proposed project seeks the above approval for purposes of having zoning that is consistent within the parcel itself and with adjacent parcels. The project has been found to be consistent with General Plan policies and City Zoning Ordinance requirements. For these reasons, City staff recommends adoption of the ordinance corresponding to GPA/ZC 24-0372.
FISCAL IMPACT:
These is no impact to the General Fund, as the future project will pay for costs or services rendered by the city.
