AMENDMENT NO. [1] TO
AGREEMENT NO. 2025-052
This AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT NO. 2025-052 is made and entered into on ________________, by and between the CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, a municipal corporation (referred to herein as “CITY”), and THE OPEN DOOR NETWORK, a non-profit corporation authorized to do business in California (referred to herein as “CONTRACTOR”).
R E C I T A L S
WHEREAS, on November 5, 2024, CITY and CONTRACTOR entered into Agreement No. ED24-054 to provide targeted outreach services to homeless individuals through the Community Connectors pilot program; and
WHEREAS, on February 3, 2025, CITY approved Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. ED24-054 to extend the term from February 1, 2025 , to March 1, 2025; and
WHEREAS, on March 26, 2025, CITY approved Agreement No. 2025 -052 (previously Agreement No. ED24 -054(1)) to increase compensation by NINETY - FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($95,000) for a revised compensation amount NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED NINETY -FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($195,000) and extend the term to June 30, 2025, and
WHEREAS, CITY acknowledges that addressing homelessness in the community requires ongoing outreach efforts to engage individuals living on the streets and assist them with accessing critical resources and transitioning into safer environments; and
WHEREAS, CITY requires additional outreach, case management, and other supportive services for individuals experiencing homelessness; and
WHEREAS, the parties now desire to amend Agreement No . 2025-052 to extend the Term to July 31, 2025 to ensure full expenditure of PSVS funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, incorporating the foregoing recitals herein, CITY and CONTRACTOR mutually agree as follows:
1. Section 3 of Agreement No. ED2 4-054 entitled “Term” is hereby amended to read as follows:
3. TERM. Unless terminated sooner, as set forth herein, this Agreement shall terminate on July 31, 2025.
4. Except as amended herein, all provisions of Agreement No. 2025- 052 shall remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 2025-052 to be executed the day and year first above written.
