SUBJECT: Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 2024-091 with MJS Solution, LLC (increase compensation $40,000, revised not to exceed $120,000; and extend term to July 11, 2026) to continue commercial cleaning services at the Bakersfield Police Department Training and Logistics Offices located at 4550 California Avenue, Bakersfield, California 93309
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this amendment.
BACKGROUND:
On July 11, 2023, the City entered into Agreement No. PD23-031 with MJS Solutions, LLC. For a total compensation of $40,000 and a term date of one year, to provide commercial cleaning services for the City of Bakersfield Police Department Training and Logistics offices located at 4550 California Avenue, Bakersfield, California 93309.
On June 26, 2024, City and Contractor amended the original Agreement (PD23-031) and entered into Agreement No. 2024-091. This amendment increased the total compensation by $40,000, bringing the total not to exceed amount to $80,000 and extended the term of the agreement to July 11, 2025.
Due to the need for ongoing cleaning services, The Bakersfield Police Department is now requesting to extend the term date to July 11, 2026, and increase compensation by $40,000 for a new not to exceed compensation amount of $120,000, to continue the commercial cleaning services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds for services are within the Bakersfield Police Department General Fund Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget.
