RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this agreement.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Bakersfield departments use various Microsoft services and subscriptions to complete their work, including Microsoft applications like Outlook, Word and Excel and Active Directory for identity management. These applications can be purchased by various vendors. The City released a Request For Proposal (RFP) for renewal of Microsoft services and subscriptions, and Dell Marketing, L.P. responded with favorable pricing and was awarded the bid.
Technology Services Department and Dell Marketing, L.P. now wish to enter into a three (3) year agreement not to exceed $4,012,956.03 for these services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this agreement has been appropriately budgeted for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 in the Equipment Fund.
