SUBJECT: Assignment of Long-Term Ground Lease Agreement No. 07-291 (1) for Hangar D3 to assign the rights and obligations of John Mackessy to Hamed Allen.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff Recommends approval of Assignment.
BACKGROUND:
On the October 25, 2006 City Council Meeting, Agreement No. 06 -323 was approved establishing the Long-Term Ground Lease Agreement with the original leaseholder, Harry Hackney.
On August 15, 2007, the City Council approved Agreem ent No. 07 -291 which assigned the Long -Term Ground Lease Agreement with the original leaseholder, Harry Hackney, to John Mackessy.
John Mackessy desires to assign rights and obligations of the Long -Term Ground Lease to Hamed Allen.
The Long-Term Ground Lease Agreement allows for this assignment. The $200 processing fee required by the agreement has been paid. This assignment will transfer all ground lease terms to Hamed Allen, including the monthly rent of $60.
FISCAL IMPACT:
As this is a lease that generates revenue for the Aviation Fund, there is no Fiscal Impact to the General Fund.
