RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Committee receive and file.
BACKGROUND:
California Public Policy Group (CPPG) provides the City of Bakersfield with legislative advocacy services as the state level , and grant writing services for state and federal grants. Each quarter, CP PG provides an update to the Laws & Legislation Committee on legislative advocacy in Sacramento and the City’s grant awards.
For the September 2025, meeting, CPPG will provide a presentation on the end of the legislative session, discuss the status of city positioned bills, and review gran ts the city has worked, is applying for, or plans to pursue in the next quarter.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to the General Fund.
