SUBJECT: 2026 Regular City Council Meetings, Department Budget Presentations and Hearings Calendar:
Resolution setting dates of the Regular City Council Meetings, Department Budget Presentations and Budget Hearing for January through December 2026.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Council adopt the resolution.
BACKGROUND:
This Resolution sets forth the regular City Council Meetings, Department Budget Presentations and Budget Hearing for 2026. Regular meetings will be held in the Council Chambers and will begin at 3:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.
Two Monday noon budget workshops are scheduled for May 4, 2026, and May 18, 2026. The required budget hearing is scheduled for June 10, 2026, at 5:15 p.m., or as soon thereafte r as the matter may be heard and adoption of the Fiscal Year 26 -27 budget is set for June 24, 2025. National holidays, spring break, conflicting board meetings, League of California Cities Conferences and budget deadlines were taken into consideration in preparing the calendar.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The action to approve the 2026 regular meeting calendar is included in the Fiscal Year 2025 -26 budget and will have no impact on City General Fund.
