SUBJECT: Agreement with DataTicket Inc. (compensation for service provided varies) to provide for the processing of bails, fines and forfeiture thereof, in connection with the issuance of administrative citations and other civil debts.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommend approval of the agreement
BACKGROUND:
DataTicket Inc. is an experienced and well-qualified specialist in the field of administrative citation processing and related services.
DataTicket will provide the processing of bails, fines , and forfeiture thereof, in connection with the issuance of administrative citations pursuant to City of Bakersfield municipal code and other civil debts as designated and owed to the City.
The term of the Agreement shall be in place until January 1s, 2031 from the effective date of the Agreement. Compensation for service provided varies and is available for review in Exhibit A of the agreement. The agreement may be terminated by either DataTicket Inc. or the City with or without cause, 60 days’ written notice.
Staff recommend approval of agreement with DataTicket Inc.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Amount will vary based on each department’s needs.
Cost of services will vary as well as revenue from citation payments.
