Mr. Jaime Flores
4101 Truxtun Ave. Bldg D.

Bakersfield, CA 93309

Dear Mr. Flores,

On behalf of the Bakersfield Police Activities League (BPAL), I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the City of Bakersfield for its continued partnership and support of our mission to serve the youth and families of our community.

As our programs and participation continue to grow, the maintenance needs of our facility have also increased significantly. We currently maintain approximately four acres of sports fields that are used daily by hundreds of local youths participating in recreational, athletic, and mentorship activities. To ensure these spaces remain safe, functional, and welcoming, we are reaching out to request assistance from the city in obtaining equipment essential to our ongoing maintenance efforts.

Specifically, we are seeking:
 Large lawn mowers to maintain our fields
 Weed eaters, edgers, and blowers
 40-volt batteries
 A bunker rake to maintain our baseball diamond
 A utility cart for ground maintenance

Any and all assistance the city may be able to provide, whether through equipment allocation, surplus inventory, or other means would make a meaningful difference in our ability to sustain and improve our facility for the youth we serve.

We greatly appreciate your consideration and support in helping BPAL continue to provide a safe and well-maintained environment for our community’s young people. Please feel free to contact me directly at (661) 283-8880 or [email protected] if you would like to discuss this request in more detail.

Thank you again for your continued partnership and for all that the City of Bakersfield does to support youth development and community engagement.
