FROM: Darin Budak, Director Recreation and Parks
DATE: December 15, 2025
SUBJECT: Appropriate $16,319.20 in Water Conservation Rebate Program revenues received from California Water Service

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of the appropriation.

BACKGROUND:

California Water Service (Cal Water) offers a Water Conservation Rebate Program (Program) for residential and commercial account customers that incentivizes water conservation. Staff successfully applied for the Program to perform upgrades to the irrigation system at The Park at Riverwalk (TPRW).

The Program paid for the installation of high efficiency irrigation components, including IQ Smart Controllers and water saving irrigation rotors and nozzles. These improvements are projected to reduce overall water consumption at TPRW.

FISCAL IMPACT: There is no impact to the Recreation and Parks Department Operating Budget within the General Fund. The funds received are equal to the expenditure incurred.
