Shielding the Frontline, Kern County (SFKC) is a 501c3 nonprofit committed to serving the behavioral health needs of Bakersfield Police Department (BPD) sworn personnel.

The scope of services provided to BPD sworn personnel include confidential in-person and telehealth counseling services through our network of 24 licensed clinicians specializing in trauma, behavioral health, and family support. SFKC will also provide BPD with group counseling through our Clinician Liaison Support Program following a critical incident.

The Board of State and Community Corrections, Officer Wellness and Mental Health Grant outlines that grant funding can be allocated for services provided by professionals, counselors, or other professionals that work with law enforcement.

SFKC licensed contracted clinicians meet the above parameters.

Fee Schedule for our SFKC licensed clinicians:
$120.00 per counseling session (1:1)
$300.00 per group session (Critical Incident Support)
