AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTIONS 1.12.050 BY ADDING PART OF ANNEXATION NO. 713
TO WARD 2.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFC o) adopted a resolution for Annexation No. 713 recently ordering the territories annexed to the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territories ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield are required to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the LAFCo recently completed the annexation for the territories to the City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of Annexation No. 713 which is shown on the map in Exhibit B and described in the attached Exhi bit A, attached hereto and incorporated as though fully set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Part of Annexation No. 713 shall be included in Wards 2.
Section 3.
Sections 1.12.050 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto the legal description set forth in Exhibit A.
Section 4.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield Municipal Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above - described territory to the City of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage.
