RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Committee receive and file.
BACKGROUND:
Summit Strategies (Summit) provides the City of Bakersfield with legislative advocacy services at the federal level. Every quarter, Summit provides an update to the Laws & Legislation Committee on legislative advocacy in Washington, DC.
This quarterly update will recap the major federal actions of the 2025 calendar year and discuss some major items to watch in 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to the general fund.
