RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Committee receive and file.
BACKGROUND:
California Public Policy Group (CPPG) provides the City of Bakersfield with legislative advocacy services at the state level, and grant writing services for state and federal grants. Each quarter, CPPG provides an update to the Laws & Legislation Committee on legisl ative advocacy in Sacramento and the City’s grant awards.
For the January 2026 meeting, CPPG will present the End of Year Report, discuss two Housing Informational Hearings, review some key items in the Governor’s Budget , and re -cap any major grant developments in the last quarter of 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to the General Fund.
