FROM: Kristina Budak, Water Director
DATE: April 7, 2026
SUBJECT: Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 2023-024 with AECOM Technical Services, Inc (extend the term by eight months and increase compensation by $47,300; revised not to exceed $238,300) to provide design and engineering services for Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 3 Booster Blower Upgrade.

RECOMMENDATION:

BACKGROUND:

Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 3 has three gas blowers that are responsible for boosting digester gas pressure to 10 psi prior to conveyance to the gas treatment facilities. Amendment No. 2 to Agreement No. 2023-024 was approved on May 28, 2025, extending the term by 18 months and adding $20,000 in compensation to address a higher -than-expected volume of requests for information submissions that exceeded the available project budget.

The proposed Amendment No. 3 would add $47,300 to cover additional change orders and the City's request for record drawings based on field markups, bringing total compensation to $238,300 and extending the term through August 31, 2027.
