Department Budget Presentation Meeting

Present: Mayor Goh, Vice Mayor Kaur (seated at 1:02 p.m.), Councilmembers Gonzales, Smith, Koman, and Bashirtash (seated at 12:08 p.m.)
Absent: Councilmembers Arias and Weir

a. Fiscal Year 2026-27 Department Budget Presentations – Budget Workshop No. 1:
1. General Government (City Manager’s Office, Risk Management, City Clerk)
City Manager Clegg made staff comments and provided a
PowerPoint presentation.
2. City Attorney Office
City Attorney Gennaro made staff comments and provided a PowerPoint presentation.
3. Finance Department
Finance Director McKeegan made staff comments and provided a PowerPoint presentation.
4. Recreation and Parks Department
Recreation and Parks Director Budak made staff comments and provided a PowerPoint presentation.
5. Police Department
Police Chief Stratton made staff comments and provided a PowerPoint presentation.

6. Fire Department
Fire Chief Albertson made staff comments and
provided a PowerPoint presentation.
Councilmember Gonzales requested staff review alternative options for budget reductions of the Fire Department in place of eliminating one Rescue Team from service as proposed for Fiscal Year 26-27 budget.
Councilmember Bashirtash left the meeting at 2:05 p.m.
Motion by Vice Mayor Kaur to receive and file budget presentations.
Motion was approved with Councilmembers Arias, Weir and Bashirtash absent.
4. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Goh adjourned the meeting at 2:15 p.m.
