RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Committee receive and file.
BACKGROUND:
Summit Strategies (Summit) provides the City of Bakersfield with legislative advocacy services at the federal level. Every quarter, Summit provides an update to the Laws & Legislation Committee on legislative advocacy in Washington, DC.
This quarterly update will provide a general legislative update, recap our submitted projects for Fiscal Year 27 Appropriations, highlight key legislation from our delegation, and discuss items to watch in 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to the General Fund.
