SUBJECT: Amendment No. 1 to Agreement 2023-148 with McCormick Landscape Service, Inc. DBA Venable’s Tree Service
($100,000; not to exceed $393,928.52) for continued streetscape and median landscape maintenance and extend agreement by one year. (Ward 2)
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the amendment.
BACKGROUND:
On June 28, 2023, the City and McCormick Landscape Service, Inc. DBA Venable’s Tree Service (Contractor) entered into Agreement N o. 2023 -148 to provide streetscape and median landscape maintenance in designated public areas for an initial three (3) year period for a not to exceed amount of $293,928.52. The area encompassed by this agreement is along 24th Street, from Oak Street to D Street.
The initial three (3) year period is coming to end on June 28, 2026. The original agreement has two (2) optional consecutive one year renewal periods. The City and Contractor have agreed to extend the streetscape and median landscape maintenance by one year and increase compensation by $100,000.00 to a new not to exceed amount of $393,928.52.
FISCAL IMPACT: This agreement is funded by Recreation and Parks Department annual operating budget within the General Fund. No additional funds are needed.
