SUBJECT: Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 2023-189
with HPS Mechanical, Inc. (increasing compensation by $500,000; revised not to exceed $1,000,000) for On-Call Construction Services.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of amendment.
BACKGROUND:
On August 9, 2023, City of Bakersfield entered into an agreement with HPS Mechanical, Inc., to provide maintenance of multiple City of Bakersfield facilities water and gas supply lines, water heaters, dishwashers, garbage disposals, refrigerator hookups, shower pans, repair of faucets, valves, escutcheons, fittings, drain traps, P -traps, clean -outs, and 24 hour plumbing services for after hour plumbing emergencies.
Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 2023-189 will increase the compensation by Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000) with a new not to exceed One Million Dollars ($1,000,000). The term will not be changed at this time.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this agreement will be paid through individual project budgets with varying funding sources and has been budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2025-26 and subsequent budget years.
