The program has been consistently recognized by residents and local businesses for its effectiveness in improving public health and cleanliness. Building on its success, the City expanded the contracted service area and hours of operation in March 2021. In March 2026, the program was expanded again to include the Central Bakersfield neighborhoods.

Service hours remained Monday through Friday, beginning at 6:00 am and concluding at 1:00 pm, inclusive of a 30 -minute lunch break. If the contract proves successful, three extensions are at the City's option and under mutually agreeable terms.
