SUBJECT: Amendment No. 2 to Agreement No. 2024-190 with MJS Solutions, LLC. ($22,400; revised not to exceed $142,400 and extend term to January 31, 2027) to continue commercial cleaning services at the Bakersfield Police Department Training and Logistics Offices located at 4550 California Avenue, Bakersfield, California 93309.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of amendment.
BACKGROUND: On July 11, 2023, the City entered into Agreement No. PD23-031 with MJS Solutions, LLC.
For a total compensation of $40,000 and a term date of one year, to provide commercial cleaning services for the City of Bakersfield Police Department Training and Logi stics offices located at 4550 California Avenue, Bakersfield, California 93309.
On June 26, 2024, City and Contractor amended the original Agreement (PD23 -031) and entered into Agreement No. 2024-190. This amendment increased the total compensation by $40,000, bringing the total not to exceed amount to $80,000 and extended the term of the agreement to July 11, 2025.
On June 25, 2025, City and Contractor entered into Amendment 1 to Agreement No. 2024-190 to increase compensation by $40,000 for a total n ot to exceed amount of $120,000 and extended the term of the agreement to July 11, 2026.
Due to the need for ongoing cleaning services, The Bakersfield Police Department is now requesting to extend the term date to January 31, 2027, and increase compensation by $22,400 for a new not to exceed compensation amount of $142,400, to continue the commercial cleaning services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The contracted services were planned for and allocated within the Fiscal year 2026-27 budgets for the Bakersfield Police Department. Therefore no additional funds will be requested for these services next year.
