SUBJECT: League of California Cities (CalCities) 202 6 Annual Conference appointment of voting delegates

RECOMMENDATION:
City staff recommends Council appoint a voting delegate and alternate delegate.
BACKGROUND:
The 2026 League of California Cities (CalCities) Annual Conference and Expo is scheduled for September 23 – 25, 2026 in Anaheim, California. During the Annual Conference and Expo, CalCities convenes a member driven General Assembly where city officials can directly participate in the development of CalCities policy. This year’s General Assembly is scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026 at 8:30 AM.
To cast a vote during the General Assembly, citi es must designate a voting delegate and up to two alternate voting delegates, one of whom may vote if the designated voting delegate is unable to serve in that capacity. Voting delegates may either be an elected or appointed official and must be designated by City Council. Voting delegates and alternates must be registered to attend the conference.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to the General Fund.
