BACKGROUND:

The City of Bakersfield previously secured federal funds for Median Improvements at various locations along Ashe Road and Wible Road. The work to be performed consists, in general, of constructing Type “M” Median Curb, roadway excavation of existing asphalt concrete, removal of existing full depth median, adjustment of monuments, adjustment of manhole, installation of traffic striping and pavement markings, and installation of road signs.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This project is funded 90% through the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP); while the local match funds the remaining 10%.
