Present: Mayor Goh, Councilmembers Arias, Gonzales, Weir (seated at 12:15 p.m.), Smith, Koman and Bashirtash
Absent: Vice Mayor Kaur
2. PUBLIC STATEMENTS
2.a. Non-Agenda Item Public Statement
1. Michael Orloff (written materials provided), Jessie Sanders, and Dennis McLean, spoke in opposition to Sanctuary City.
2. Eddy Laine spoke regarding planting and trimming of trees (written materials provided).
2.b. Agenda Item Public Statements
None.
3. CLOSED SESSION
3.a. Conference with Legal Counsel – Personnel Matter; Closed Session pursuant to Government Code section 54957.7(b)(1)/54957.6 Conference to conduct interviews with potential Chief Assistant City Attorney applicants and to consider/discuss the employment/appointment of a Chief Assistant City Attorney.
Motion by Mayor Goh to adjourn to Closed Session at 12:12 p.m.
Closed Session meeting was adjourned at 2:58 p.m.
4. CLOSED SESSION ACTION
3.a. Conference with Legal Counsel – Personnel Matter; Closed Session pursuant to Government Code section 54957.7(b)(1)/54957.6 Conference to conduct interviews with potential Chief Assistant City Attorney applicants and to consider/discuss the employment/appointment of a Chief Assistant City Attorney.
Councilmember Gonzales announced that the Council met in closed session and completed the interviews and will reconvene at the 3:30 session.
