Subject: Proposal for Amendment #1 - Downtown Part Circle Culvert Improvements (E3K303) Dear Adrian,
During the construction phase of the project, additional construction engineering support services have been required beyond the scope originally anticipated. These services have included reviewing contractor submittals, evaluating and responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), providing technical support to facilitate project progress and maintain schedule continuity, and providing record drawings.
To compensate for the additional effort associated with these services, we respectfully request approval of a Change Order to cover the engineering labor and administrative resources necessary to provide the continued support required during construction.
The additional services include, but are not limited to:
Review and response to Requests for Information (RFIs). Review and evaluation of contractor submittals.
Coordination with the Contractor, City’s Project team regarding construction-related technical issues. Generate record drawings from City approved as-built mark-ups from the Contractor. Documentation and administrative support associated with construction engineering activities.
The total requested change order amount is summarized below:
Total Change Order Request: $14,000 on a time and material basis We appreciate the opportunity to continue supporting the successful delivery of this project and respectfully request approval of this change order so that these additional services may be properly incorporated into our contract. A detail breakdown of the budget is shown at bottom of this letter. Please contact me if you have any questions or require additional information.
