CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called was called to order at approximately 7:04 p.m. by Mayor Estrada.
INVOCATION
The invocation was led by Pastor Jackson.

REPORT FROM CLOSED SESSION
City Attorney Norma Tabares reported that all the Councilmembers were present except for Councilmembers Avila and Garcia and reported out; on the matter of Jose Estrada, the City Council took action and voted 3-0 in favor of a settlement in the amount of $20,000 and on the remaining matter, there is no reportable action.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
PROCLAMATIONS, COMMENDATIONS & PRESENTATIONS
Mayor Estrada presented Certificates of Recognition to the St. John the Baptist Baldwin Park Cheer Team for being the SHARP State Champions
Mayor Estrada presented a Certificate of Recognition to Baldwin Park residents, , Marcelo and Vivian Rodriguez in celebration of their 50th Anniversary.
Mayor Estrada and the City Council proclaimed May 2024 as Older American Month and presented the proclamation to Hector Santos, 2024 Honoree for the City of Baldwin Park, Julia McNiell Senior Mayor Estrada presented a Certificate of Recognition to Diana Huerta for being recognized as the Officer of the Year - from the California Association of Property and Evidence Property. 05-01-2024 Regular City Council Meeting Minutes

City of Baldwin Park's Warrants and Demands
Motion to ratify the attached Warrants and Demands Register.

Motion to approve the following meeting minutes of the Special City Council Meeting, Regular City Council Meeting, Finance Authority Meeting and the Housing Authority Meeting held on April 17, 2024.

3. Authorize to Enter Into a Lease Agreement for Eight New Copy Machines Motion to:
1. Approve entering into a 60-month Lease Agreement with Ricoh USA for eight new copy machines; and

1. Approve the MOU, creating an East San Gabriel Valley SWAT team.
2. Authorize the Chief of Police to execute the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Baldwin Park and the cities of Azusa and Irwindale for the purpose of operating a regional Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team.

6. Approval of Proposal from APN Landscape, Inc. for De Anza Elementary School Parkway Landscape Maintenance Project - CIP Project No. 24-018-55037 Motion to:
1. Approve the proposal and award the maintenance project to APN Landscaping Inc. in an amount not-to-exceed $50,780; and
2. Authorize the Director of Finance to make the necessary budget transfers and adjustments for the proposed landscape maintenance project; and
3. Authorize the Director of Public Works, or his designee, to complete and process the necessary documents.

1. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to sign a letter of support to OPR in favor of the grant application lead by SVCOG and CORE.
2. Direct Staff to be an active participant in the application led by SGVCOG and CORE in a Supporting Role.

10. Recommendation of Approval of Funding From the Measure BP Stakeholders Oversight Committee (SOC)- One (1) Crew Cab Pick-Up Truck and One (1) Kubota Tractor Motion to:
1. Concur and approve the recommendation from the SOC for funding from Measure BP Fund for the acquisition of the following pieces of equipment:
(a) One (I) "Kubota" Tractor at $59,000 (purchase)
(b) One (1) Full Size Crew Cab Pick-Up Truck at $74,931 (Lease)
2. Authorize the Director of Finance to appropriate $ 133,931 from the Measure BP Fund Authorize the Director of Public Works to proceed with the acquisition of the equipment.

North Park High School Graduation Ceremony: Wednesday June 5, at 5:30 p.m.
Sierra Vista High School Graduation Ceremony: Thursday, June 6, at 5:00 p.m.
Baldwin Park High School Graduation Ceremony: Thursday, June 6, at 7:00 p.m.
City Council Meetings of Wednesday, July 3"d is cancelled
