EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Inland Empire Breastfeeding Coalition (IEBC), is asking for financial assistance to help offset the costs of the Get on Board at the Historic Harvey House and Railroad Depot-Maternal Resource Awareness Exposition, to be held on May 14, 2022, at the Harvey House.
DISCUSSION:
The IEBC, is hosting a resource fair to be held on May 14, 2022, at the Harvey House. The organization is asking for financial assistance to help offset the costs of the event.
IEBC serves the Inland Empire and the surrounding Barstow communities, showcasing maternal health that is available for healthcare professionals and pregnant/post-partum patients.
Attached is the Community Promotional Fund Application along with supporting documents for Council review.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$2,000 of in-kind donations of fee waivers. Cash grant awards to-date for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 total $1,000 charged to 102.150.542.07.755 and in-kind donations of fee waivers totaling $50,650.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve Community Promotional Fund donation in the amount of $2,000 for waiver of fees for use of the Harvey House.
