COMMUNITY PROMOTIONAL FUND APPLICATION FROM BARSTOW COMMUNITY COALITION/DESERT SANCTUARY INC.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
To help offset the costs of hosting a Veteran's Resource Fair on June 30, 2022 to bring awareness to the veteran and military community about services and resources available to residents, the Barstow Community Coalition/Desert Sanctuary Inc. is asking the City to waive the fees associated with the use of the Cora Harper Fitness Center in the amount of $2,000.
DISCUSSION:
The Barstow Community Coalition/Desert Sanctuary Inc. will be hosting a Veteran's Resource Fair on June 30, 2022 to bring awareness to the veteran and military community about services and resources available to residents. To help offset the costs of hosting the event, the organization is asking the City to waive the fees associated with the use of the Cora Harper Fitness Center in the amount of $2,000.
Attached is the Community Promotional Fund Application along with supporting documents for Council review.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$2,000 of in-kind donations of fee waivers. Cash grant awards to-date for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 total $1,000 charged to 102.150.542.07.755 and in-kind donations of fee waivers totaling $50,650.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve Community Promotional Fund in-kind donation in the amount of $2,000 for waiver of fees for use of the Cora Harper Center.
