AFTER-EVENT REPORT AND PRESENTATION BY THE GEM & MINERAL SOCIETY EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Representatives from the Gem & Mineral Society will be providing an after-event report and presentation on the organization's Annual Gem & Mineral Show held December 3 - 5, 2021.
DISCUSSION:
At the October 18, 2021, City Council meeting, Council waived fees associated with the use of the Cora Harper Fitness Center (Measure Q community promotional fund donation) to help offset the costs of the annual Gem & Mineral Show held December 3 - 5, 2021. The Community Promotional Fund donation was included in the FY 2021/22 budget.
Per the Community Promotional Fund Policy, applicants who are awarded a promotional fund grant or inkind services must commit to providing an after-event report and presentation to the City Council outlining how the group used the funding provided by the City of Barstow for the benefit of the community. The Gem & Mineral Society, as a recipient of a community promotional fund grant, will be providing its after-event report and presentation.
