Name of Event: 2022 Baker 2 Vegas Relay Race
Amount requested: $$500.00
What will the funds be used for and/or what are the waiver of fees for? The funds will be used for rental vehicles to help transport runners to and from the race. The funds will also help purchase supplies needed for the race, radio rentals and drinks (Water / Gatorade).
When will the activity take place? April 9, 2022
Where will the activity take place? , Starts in Baker Ca - Ends in las Vegas NV.
Why are the funds/waiver of fees/in-kind services needed? We are requesling these funds to offset the expenses of this event.
How many Barstow area residents are involved with this organization? 40 How many spectators will watch this activity? Approximately 7,500 Please describe how this activity will benefit Barstow. If additional space is necessary, please attach additional sheets:
The Baker 2 vegas event is reconized throughout the country by several law enforcement agencies and cities. The event promotes teamwork amongst law enforcement officers and citizens through the spirit of competition. Through this event, a strong bond is formed between the police and city employees, The net proceeds from this event will go to the Barstow Police activity league.

I agree that there is a formal process in place to conduct background checks on all employees anc volunteers who work with persons under the age of 18 years and senior citizens.
I understand that an Incomplete application will not be accepted and that the organization or applicant will not be considered for funding. (If the application is being submitted on behalf of an organization or school, an additional signature is required.)
